Installing high resolution data for basemap for use with the Enthought edition of python:

• Download and unzip the file [basemap-hires-data.zip]
• Open a terminal window and type: python -c "from mpl_toolkits.basemap import basemap_datadir; print basemap_datadir"
• Copy the contents of the unzipped file into this directory, replacing everything.
